Warning: Not recommended for iPhone / iPad fanatics with weak hearts!
Even though Google is obviously one of the most dominant sites on the world wide web, most people who use it actually use 3% of its features! I never knew the site was so expendable before I started looking for tricks, and, overtime, I learned some really cool stuff, and thought I’d share:
- Use it as a calculator: Addition, multiplication, etc… such as 410⁄13 or 9^3.
- Google “what time is it in …” to get the timing of any zone in the world.
- Unit conversion (currency, temperature, length…). For example: 5 USD in Euro.
- Track flight status anywhere. To do that, enter the flight name and number. Example: Delta Flight 5778.
- To search for mp3′s or books only without having to browse through the full sites: /intitle:index.of/ mp3 (songname) for mp3s or /intitle:index.of/ pdf for books.
Funny Google queries:
- Type in “where is Chuck Norris” and press “I’m feeling lucky“
- Type in “French military victories” then press “I’m feeling lucky“
- Type in “miserable failure” then go to “I’m feeling lucky“.
Enjoy
